Playing in his final-ever Jack Newton Junior Golf (JNJG) event, Penrith's Joshua Gadd (Concord GC) has won the 2017 Bonville Men's Champions Trophy.

Gadd and good friend Jordie Garner (Castle Hill GC) blitzed the rest of the field in the final round and quickly made the Champions Trophy into a two-person showdown.

Gadd was impressive under pressure, closing out the tournament for the biggest win of his JNJG career as he prepares to enter the senior ranks.

Few could have imagined Gadd would ultimately take out the title during the early stages of the third round, when the young 18-year old trailed overnight leader Garner by as many as seven shots.

Gadd, however, bounced back with six birdies and an eagle to storm to the front, finishing the round with a two-under-par score of 70 and a one-shot lead over Garner.

In local Golf news, Leonay Golf Club has named an in-form team for the 2018 Major Pennants Season, headed up by 2017 A Grade Club Champion and 2017 A Grade Foursomes Champion Andrew Moon.
