Stunning images capturing Penrith’s natural beauty have been recognised with the judging of Penrith City Council’s annual photography competition.
The Penrith Environmental Photography Competition celebrates Biodiversity Month and highlights the importance of protecting the region’s natural environment.
The 2017 theme was Water – the heart of our community.
More than $1,300 in prizes were on offer, and winners were announced at a special ceremony held at council on Wednesday, November 1.
The winning entries were:
1st Place – Darcy O’Brien with “Building Nature’s Community One Egg at a Time”;
2nd Place – Billy Hutton with “Sunset Over Nepean Bridge”;
3rd Place – Olivia Barrett with “Sunny Saturdays”.
1st Place – Letisha Hopton with “Overflow”;
2nd Place – Giorgia Apap with “Amongst the Ferns”;
3rd Place – Jessica Kinsella with “Serenity”.
1st Place – Laura Payne with “Forest Tunnel”;
2nd Place – Donna Morgan with “Sunrise”;
3rd Place – Brett Pascoe with “Golden Nepean”.
