Leonay Golf Club junior Eric Summers has continued his recent sizzling form, taking out the Junior Club Championship on Saturday, October 28.
The 14-year-old took part in the event over three rounds, starting off on a positive note by shooting a first round 75 on the par 67 course.
Summers overcame a slight hiccup in round two after shooting 84, coming back in round three with another 76 to clinch the championship. Kyle Homan came in second place, with Coby Carruthers third.
The win comes on the back of Summers’ runaway six-shot victory in the Stonecutters Ridge Junior Classic in September, and selection in the club’s current team taking part in the Sydney Metropolitan Encourage Shield.
The club published a full list of its champions on October 30, with Andrew Moon taking out the A Grade championship ahead of Adrian Kuipers. Winner of the B Grade championship was Bruce Grant with Peter Mcfarlane in second place, and Ross Woodley won C Grade ahead of Brian Metcalfe.
