A man treated for burns to his arms and face has been charged over yesterday’s (Monday) Emu Heights house fire.
Emergency crews arrived at the Brumby Crescent home about 4.20pm on October 9 to find the two-storey residence well alight and spoke to a man at the scene, a Penrith police spokesman said.
“At the time, the male had burns to his arms and face and was covered in soot,” the spokesman said.
The man was taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment before being released into the care of police and taken to Penrith police station.
A 25-year-old man was charged with malicious damage by fire and was refused police bail to appear before Penrith Local Court.
