A syndicate of 11 people who purchased a Lotto ticket at Werrington have won more than $1 million.
In a statement released today (Monday), Lotto confirmed the syndicate entry won a total of $1,067,065.97, or $97,006.00 per share, in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
“The 11 players were part of a store syndicate sold at Werrington County Newsagency, Shop 9A, Werrington Shopping Village, 511 Dunheved Road in Werrington,” the statement said.
“A store syndicate sold by Werrington County Newsagency with 11 members, has won division one and other divisional prizes totalling $1,067,065.97 in Saturday’s Lotto draw. The 11 very happy Saturday Lotto players will each be going home with $97,006.00 thanks to their two-game System 10 entry.”
However, the identity of the ticket holders remains a mystery as none of the winning shares were registered to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card.
It was the first Lotto win for the new owners of Werrington County Newsagency, Darren and Stacy Nguyen.
“We’re over the moon! We’ve owned the outlet for around three months now and this is great news for our winning syndicate,” Mr Nguyen said.
“This is our first division one win, and it’s so great that it’s a syndicate – we’re able to share the joy with not one, but 11 of our customers.
“It’s great news for our customer’s and we look forward to the next big win.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3799 on Saturday, October 7 were 18, 34, 31, 7, 13 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 27 and 17.
Across Australia there were four division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 3799, including one each from NSW, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia.
