A man spotted looking into cars in a Penrith CBD car park has been charged with stealing offences.
Police were called to the Union Lane car park about 12.30pm on June 10 after the man was seen looking inside vehicles parked there, according to a Penrith police spokesman.
A description was provided to officers and the man was identified by police at the scene a short time later. An amount of property that didn’t belong to him was allegedly discovered in his possession, the spokesman said.
“Inquiries revealed the property of the male was the proceeds of crimes committed in the Rouse Hill area,” the spokesman said.
A 29-year-old Doonside man was arrested and charged with possessing house breaking implements, two counts of goods in custody, and two counts of stealing.
He was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court.
