Large quantity of allegedly stolen goods seized

A large quantity of goods police will allege to be stolen have been seized from a couple at Cranebrook.

A man was allegedly spotted placing printer cartridges down his pants at a Cranebrook shopping centre by staff on Friday, March 10, before leaving the store without paying, a Penrith police spokesman said.

Police were contacted and attended a short time later, where they found the man with a woman.

“A search of their motor vehicle was conducted and as a result police seized a large quantity of items believed to have been stolen,” the spokesman said.

A 37-year-old man from Cartwright in Sydney’s south-west was charged with one count of larceny and one count of goods in custody. A 31-year-old woman from the same suburb was charged with the same offences.

The pair were granted conditional bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on March 28.
