Hotel scoops top awards

THE Park Hyatt Sydney has much to celebrate.

The hotel received four awards at the highly anticipated HM Awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence and Australian Hotels Association (AHA) 2012 National Awards for Excellence, held last month.

Park Hyatt Sydney secured Hotel of the Year, Luxury Property and Hotel Interior Design at the HM Awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence as well as the prestigious Best Deluxe Accommodation award at the AHA 2012 National Awards for Excellence.

The awards once again reinforced the hotel's strong presence as one of Australia's premier luxury hotels.

A highly reputable publication for discerning hospitality professionals, the HM Magazine hosted awards for Hotel & Accommodation Excellence and is one of the leading awards for the accommodation industry in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region. Nominated alongside some of the best hotels in Australia, it was a successful evening for Park Hyatt Sydney when the hotel was announced award winner of Hotel of the Year, Luxury Property and Hotel Interior Design.

The hotel received an impressive three awards out of the seven award categories for which it was nominated.

The national voice of the country's vibrant hotel industry representing hospitality members across Australia, AHA presented the award of Best Deluxe Accommodation to Park Hyatt Sydney for its consistently high standards of quality facilities, service and luxury since its reopening after a dramatic 11-month transformation in February this year.

This recognition follows the hotel's achievement when it received the Deluxe Hotel Accommodation of the Year Award at the regional Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) Awards for Excellence for NSW.

Park Hyatt Sydney general manager Andrew Mensforth said everyone associated with the hotel was extremely proud of these achievements.

"It is an excellent acknowledgement to the team at Park Hyatt Sydney for their dedicated efforts and commitment towards providing memorable guest experiences at our newly redesigned hotel," he said.

Since re-opening in February 2012, Park Hyatt Sydney has received nine awards, including the internationally recognised Travel + Leisure magazine's IT List: The Best New Hotels 2012 and Virtuoso's Best of the Best hotel award for Best Achievement in Design.
