The Western Sydney Conversation Alliance will lead a half-day public tour of bushland in the Penrith local government area on Sunday.
Markus Riegler from University of Western Sydney will discuss the psyllid outbreaks affecting trees in Penrith while other experts will be on hand to answer questions about the state of Penrith bushland.
Discussions will include edge effects, fauna displacement from land clearing, arson and rubbish dumping.
Vegetation communities and plants and animals will be discussed.
The tour will begin at 9am at Peppermint Park, Bringelly Road, Kingswood.
It will end at approximately 1pm.
