IT'S time to slick back that hair, pull out those leather jackets and get those hips swinging, as the Buddy Holly show comes to Penrith Panthers this weekend.
Buddy's Back! The Buddy Holly Show is a rock'n'roll tribute concert that will feature a range of classic hits from the iconic American artist.
The two-hour production will play songs including That'll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Raining In My Heart, Rave On and Oh Boy!
Lead singer Scot Robin, who will be playing Buddy Holly, said the production had been successful for the past 17 years and was a favourite among all ages.
"There's something about Buddy Holly that get's people back again and again," he said.
"We have noticed a massive resurgence in rock'n'roll, especially in the younger generations, people have re-discovered the 50s."
Mr Robin said the cast was very passionate about performing a show that re-visited the artist's music and lifestyle.
"People start dancing in the isles during the show, even in the theatre, they always find a spot and off they go," he said.
"It's contagious, everyone is yelling and screaming because they are having so much fun.
"We try to make it close to a real Buddy Holly concert, we have the big double basses, costumes and dances, our attention to detail is so important."
Buddy's Back! The Buddy Holly Show will be performed at Penrith Panthers on Saturday, October 6.
