Rail deferral

Plans to deliver a new train stabling facility at Emu Plains have been deferred.

In late 2009, the former government announced plans to start work on the Emu Plains facility and gained development approval in March 2011.

It remains a long-term project.

Fertility study

Professor Jane Ussher from the Centre for Health Research at the University of Western Sydney is part of a team of women's health researchers investigating fertility in people with cancer.

People living with cancer, irrespective of their cancer types, stages or age groups are invited to take part.

"Fertility is an important aspect of quality of life and there is growing evidence that changes to fertility can be the most difficult long-term effect of cancer diagnosis and treatment," Professor Ussher said.

Participation will involve the completion of a survey and an interview with a UWS researcher.
