Local bank does well

BOQ Penrith will be celebrating its seventh birthday this month.

Owner-manager Anthony Walker took the plunge to become his own boss after working for 17 years at the Commonwealth Bank.

"I started with zero customers and three staff, myself included," Mr Walker said.

"I now have 6000 customers and 10 staff.

"I can't say for a minute that I've missed the daily commute into the city that I was doing for more than a decade.

"On our birthday I would like to say a big thank you to the community for their support so far and we look forward to the future at BOQ Penrith."
