Calling all women in business — the 2013 Altitude Awards, hosted by the Women With Altitude networking group, are open for entries.
The awards, unique to Penrith, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury regions, focus on women in all types and sizes of business.
The founder of Women With Altitude, Andrea Turner-Boys, said a high percentage of businesses in the region were run by women.
"The awards aim to recognise the success of women, even those working on their own and those based at home," she said.
"With easy entry, great prizes and awards on offer, this is an opportunity not to be missed."
The major sponsor is Plus Fitness 24/7, which has gyms in Penrith, St Marys, Blaxland, Hazelbrook and Katoomba.
Entries close on October 30 and the awards will be presented at the Altitude Ball on December 13 at the Fairmont Resort in Leura.
There are awards for small businesses, and for those with a corporate and community focus.
