PAIGE Hadley has continued her stellar year by making the Australian Diamonds squad for the 2013 International netball series.
Penrith's 20-year-old Hadley has been selected in the 17-strong squad, alongside Swifts co-captain Kimberlee Green.
The two will attend a selection camp in Canberra from July 31 until August 3.
"I'm shocked, excited and can't stop smiling," Hadley said of her selection.
"My aim this year was to get regular court time with the NSW Swifts and to gain selection in the Australian under-21 team to contest the World Youth Cup in Glasgow.
"To reach those two goals and now to be selected in the Australian Diamonds squad, just makes it an unbelievable year."
Said Green: "I'm absolutely thrilled for Paige; she has been a mainstay for the Swifts this season and has performed extremely well in all three midcourt positions.
"Not only is she a very talented athlete, but she works hard, wants to learn, and is still growing as a player, so I see Paige being a Diamond for many years."
She's been presented with the inaugural coaches' award after her debut season as a contracted player with the Sydney Swifts.
The coaching staff voted for an award that is given to the player who has most demonstrated commitment to training and improved performance.
But, then, this is the player described by a Penrith official as "the girl next door who has time for everyone".
