How to seal the deal

The Penrith BEC and Binarix Training are offer the Close the Sale Business Program.

The three-month program is designed to develop strategic selling skills, improve conversion rates and increase sales.

Business owners, sales managers and staff who are telemarketing or want to improve their development skills; those who have had training but haven't been able to modify behaviour; those those who feel isolated when cold calling, making presentations and closing the sale — all will benefit.

Hospital upgrade

Nepean Hospital's six-storey car park and the new 64-bed mental health care unit open this year.

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District chief executive Kay Hyman thanked the community for its patience during the car park's construction.

"The health district is undertaking a thorough review of campus parking to manage and maximise car space for patients, visitors and staff," Ms Hyman said.

After the new car park opens, the existing car park on Somerset Street will close.

Better schools

Blaxland East Public, Kingswood High and Penrith Public schools will receive capital works projects from state budget allocations.

The projects will include upgrades of access at Blaxland and Kingswood and better fencing at Penrith.
