Let's transform Penrith!

IN just 32 days the World Cup Rowing hits Penrith and we want to show the world that we can make our city sing.

Starting next week shopkeepers and businesses around town will start decorating their windows and foyers to show we're supporting the big event and welcoming all those overseas visitors.

And you can be the judges.

So, give your favourite businesses a prod and encourage them to spark their creativity by decorating their foyers and shop windows with a rock and rowing theme.

There will a $200 prize for the best display, a $200 prize for one of those who make the nomination and weekly movie ticket prizes. You will be able to vote in person by dropping your form in to the business of your choice, at the City Centre Association office (1st Floor, Suite 9-11, 513-519 High Street), at the Penrith City Star office (upstairs, 308 High Street), online at penrithstar.com.au or by emailing to r_smith@fairfaxmedia.com.au.

While we don't expect you to co-opt your staff into standing in your shop window /foyer 24/7 - unless they offer of course - we do urge business owners to be funky and creative in dressing up theri businesses with a Rock and Rowing theme.

BUSINESS owners,  drag out those old boating costumes, rockin’ gear or whatever and make your business sparkle. Your customers will love you. Winners will be announced in the Penrith City Star on March 21.
