Choir open to public

Choir open to public

Penrith City Choir is ready to share with the public its love of choral singing and plans for 2013 at a free open event on Wednesday, February 13, 7.30pm, Orchestral Room 2, Joan Sutherland Centre.

The choir's plans for the year include a performance of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana with the Penrith Symphony Orchestra in May, Rule Britannia, a concert of British music presented with high tea in September, and a Christmas concert with the Blue Mountains Concert Band in December.

The open evening will offer participants a chance to look behind the public face of a community choir. Experience of singing in groups and/or ability to read music would be an advantage so bring your enthusiasm and your love of singing.
